The Bath
The weekly bath is a thing of the past. Education and improved bathing facilities have results in increased personal hygiene, but bathing is no longer merely a matter of cleansing. Nowadays, with the emphasis on natural ingredients, bathing is also appreciated for its cosmetic and therapeutic value. Throughout history, many famous beauties have used natural ingredients in the bath to soften and nourish, tone and moisturize the skin. The legendary Cleopatra who luxuriated in mare's milk, and Madame de Pompadour, the beautiful mistress of Louis XV of France, soaked in baths of herbs for long periods every day. Even as early as 212 AD, Romans congregated en masse in the elegant and most beautiful of all bath houses, the Caracalla, where they had at least twenty-five different baths from which to choose from. The essential oil baths were particular favorites among the ladies. Everyone remembers the commercial "Calone take me away," and I don't think there is one mother or working women who hasn't at one time or another said those words. But now there is aromapathic bath therapy on the market which does more than just relax the body, and can be used for both men and women.

Aromapathic Bath Therapy
Beyond soap, bubble baths and aromatherapy which are the baths of the past, there are now aromapathic bath therapies on the market, that contain essential herbal oils and extracts.

These oils and extracts not only soften the skin, but can benefits the skin as well. Fatty soapy bubble baths were once considered a luxurious bath, but they tended to neutralize the natural oils in the body, resulting in dry skin. After a long day when you needed to soak and unwind in a warm bubble bath or just plain hot water, you neither had the energy nor the inclination to apply a body oil or lotion afterwards to counteract the drying effects from that bath. Then there was the oil baths, but the oils floated on top of the water and didn't penetrate the skin, which left our skin to oily. Today there are aromapathic that will work with your skin, not against it.

Aromapathic consist of essential herbal oils and extracts to fight everyday skin problems. Herbal oils and extracts from certain plant products are different from any other oils and extracts, for they can penetrate the skin and can help "skin deep" skin problems. Skin problems usually start from the inside out from poor nutrition, free radicals, and poor health, and will eventually show one way or another in the condition of our skin. Our skin is an organ of elimination. It expels waste that our kidneys, lungs and intestines cannot process. It requitals body temperature and insulates internal organs. Through perspiration and evaporation, it releases heat when you become too warm. It detects touch and pressure sensations for your nervous system. In other words the skin works as a organ to eliminate all the body's junk so the inside of the body can stay healthy. Up until now most people dealt with skin problems by covering them with make-up, clothes, hats, and gloves. Now there is aromapathic to help naturally heal such problems without having to cover them up.

bulletCELLULITE BATH THERAPY
Most women's fat cells are deposited in the fatty tissues (the adipose tissue), which includes the thick fat layer underneath the skin known as cellulite. When properly metabolized, cellulite can be the best source of energy. Unfortunately the fat adipose are commonly called "the cold spot" in the body. As a result, cellulite can accrue. In order to burn fat in these "cold spots," the cold spots have to be stimulated first to free the fat where it is stored as cellulite.   Heating up those "cold spots" has been shown in stimulate fat deposits. Example: take fat as a food source such as lard. Try to take that solid fat and dispose of it through a small area such as your kitchen stain. Every cook knows that you don't put fat down the drain unless you first heat it up. When you stimulate that lard with heat, the fat breaks up into a more suitable form and is much easier to dispose of.

There are several other essentials compounds of oils and extracts which also enhance the integrity of fatty tissue structures. These essential compounds oils consist of those found in cellulite therapy bath (see above). This stimulating blend of essential oils and extracts can also be used for poor circulation and leg aches. bulletFoot Problems
Corns, calluses, blister, and bunions can be very painful on your feet. Corns are lumps of built-up dead skin that form on the bony areas of your feet, such as the toe. They're caused by friction, usually the result of wearing shoes that are too tight. Calluses are essentially corns on non-bony places. Both can make you feel as though you're walking on pebbles. Unless you have severe, constant pain, in which case you'll need a doctor's care, you can usually treat the problem by yourself. Below are some helpful suggestions. If it doesn't fit, don't wear it. Make sure your footwear fits properly. In general, the best styles for the corn-prone includes sandals and running and walking shoes. If you must wear heels, buy shoes with wide, stable heels that don't exceed two inches, and look for comfort-type pumps that provide greater cushion for shock absorption.  Soak feet in a foot therapy bath. Since corns and calluses results from excess build-up of dead skin, it's best to keep skin soft, moisturized and free of dead skin as much as possible.  A foot therapy bath follow with an moisturizer such as Skin Renew Repair Cream can help keep the feet moist, refreshed, soft and free of dead skin build-up.  A blend of Olive oil, Peppermint, Tea tree, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Clove, Peru, Lemon leaves, Arnica flowers, White Willow and Mineral Salts can help smooth the feet . Soak feet for 20 minutes in a tub of warm water three times a week. Moisturize feet nightly. If your skin is already hardened with corns and calluses, use pumice stone on these areas after your foot therapy bath and before moisturizing.  See Foot Revival
bulletCold and Flu
Bathing in essential oils help in two ways. Inhalation and skin penetration. For cold and flu use 10 - 15 drops of Eucalyptus in your bath just before bathing so the aroma doesn't evaporate.   A blend of Rosemary, Dandelion, Eucalyptus, and Peppermint is effective against bronchial conditions. Sandalwood is a traditional Indian remedy for sore throats.  Massage several drops onto the neck and throat, morning and night.  See Cold & Flus bath

bulletBODY BRUSHING
Ask the Expert about Essential Bath Oils (click) Relax with Essential Bath Oils
The skin is responsible for 25 percent of the body's daily elimination of toxins and wastes. As such, it often gets "clogged" if it is not cleansed thoroughly. Bathing and showering are normal daily practices, but for many people this regime is not sufficient to keep the skin "unclogged" to allow oxygen, nutrients and moist in. This is where the little practiced art of skin and body brushing comes into play. Brushing the skin exfoliates the surface and removes the plugs of dry skin cells that are clogging the outer skin so the skin can breathe. Skin and body brushing is performed either when the skin is wet in the shower or bath (or for a more invigorating friction massage, when the skin is dry), by using a skin brush, weaved glove, loofah, or pumice stone (on feet only). Skin brushing also rids the skin's surface of harmful bacteria, and makes it more radiant. Body brushing is recommended once every two to three days. Otherwise, it can overload the skin's regenerative abilities, especially among older people. Light brushing daily presents no problems.  Finally, skin brushing and essential herbals have worked wonders on problem skin areas such as cellulite, dry skin, acne, athletic foot and more. So next time before you apply natural oils and/or lotions and creams (such as Skin Repair Cream) to those problem areas, brush first.

Healing Herbs
Today's aromapathic renaissance is a rediscovery of the basic herbs our forefathers used as medicine. But today's essential oils have to be more than just a back-to-nature movement. Aromapathic is beyond scented oils to soothe and relax the body much as what aromatherapy provides. So what is Aromapathic?
bfly1BgWHT.gif (15811 bytes)
Aromapathic are herbs such as aromatherapy, that work as natural medicine for the body. Herbs for years have been taken internally as homeopathic medicine in treating internal diseases. With today's demand for natural health care products, we combine rewarding benefits of aromatherapy with herbs of the homeopathic healing medicine. Therefore, aromapathic were developed as external beauty therapy and treatment. In most cases aromapathic are used to heal and treat specific medical skin problems. Aromapathic are essential herbal oils and extracts that are designed to stimulate the body's own healing process in order to rid the body of illness. These selected herbal oils and extracts are natural medicine designed for the health and beauty of the skin. Aromapathics are geared for today's external skin problems.  One of the fastest-growing modes of alternative medicine, aromapathic have been practiced since ancient times. Scientific studies that have been done on herbals only reinforce the therapeutic value that these oils have as aromapathic.

In the past, herbs were make into essential herbals oils and used external as aromatherapy to soothe and relax the body: Today, essential herbal oils and extracts are used as aromapathic externally for healing and treating skin problems. They may be inhaled, rubbed into the skin, or used in the bath for therapeutic treatment for skin diseases, and as beauty aids. Every good medicine cabinet should contain remedies to alleviate the symptoms of simple everyday health and beauty problems using aromapathic essential herbals. Plants were our first medicines. In the earliest days of medicine and pharmacy, there were no other remedies. We still rely on plants to cure illness and skin disorders. But in most cases, people are not aware of what each and every herb can provide or in what combination to use them. There is one simple reason so many people, past and present, have used herbs internally and externally as medicine. They are safe and effective tools of healing.
